Kevin Murphy / Managing Director

Kevin Murphy is a co-Founder and Managing Director of Andaman Capital Partners, based in Myanmar since 2002, where he is actively involved in a range of industry sectors including renewable energy (hydropower and solar), liquid fuels, finance and banking and industrial zone development. He has led corporate advisory projects for a leading private hospital group and local bank in Myanmar, which recently attracted a strategic foreign investor.

Kevin is also a director of Myanmar Recycles, an industrial scale recycler of plastic film waste and local circular economy pioneer, and the Pacific Group Limited, a regulated fund manager based in Hong Kong. In a previous career as a journalist and media executive, Mr. Murphy held senior positions at the International Herald Tribune, South China Morning Post and The Bulletin (Australia) and was a regular contributor to the Economist. He graduated in 1983 from Georgetown University, where he was a Baker Scholar.

Gill Pattison / Co-Founder, Principal

Gill Pattison is co–Founder and Principal of Andaman Capital Partners. A senior executive with more than 30 years’ experience in banking, consultancy and management roles both in Myanmar and in London and Hong Kong, Gill has been based in Yangon since 2002.

From 2012-2016, Gill held senior leadership roles (General Manager, Head of Funding and Business Development) at Proximity Finance, the microfinance arm of Proximity Designs, one of Myanmar’s foremost social investment businesses.  Since then, Gill has worked with the team at ACP, leading various strategy consultancies in the banking, private hospital and energy sectors.  In addition to private sector work, Gill has managed a development aid programme  to promote the use of renewable energy in Myanmar and access to energy for Myanmar’s rural population.  She led a team on a major project for ADB to design an emergency liquidity facility for MFIs in the event of a major climate disaster.  She is a graduate of Auckland University (BA in Economics).

Han Swe helps manage and execute ACP’s advisory and investment work. He manages liaison with government officials and agencies and plays a critical role supporting ACP’s projects, especially in the electricity and energy fields.

Khin Khin oversees Andaman’s research and regulatory monitoring efforts across a range of industries with particular focus on digital payments, banking and finance, and logistics. She has worked on multiple business advocacy cases.

Adrien Lorne supervises transactional and investment advisory projects, with a focus on capital raising and the microfinance sector, where he previously oversaw Myanmar’s largest bank lending portfolio for MFIs.
